Environment Indoor / Outdoor

A mind-body practice combining physical postures, breathwork, and relaxation — a flexible, low-impact routine that steadily builds strength, mobility, and mental well-being at any fitness level.

The Essentials

Roll out a mat in a space where you can stretch your arms fully in every direction. Start with a few minutes of slow, deep breathing to settle in, then move through a sequence of poses, holding each for several breaths — moving slowly and only as far as feels comfortable, never forcing a stretch. Coordinate movement with breath, generally inhaling as you expand or lift and exhaling as you fold or release. Rest in a seated or lying position between poses if you need to, and finish with a few minutes lying still to let your body settle before getting up.

Croquet

Drive coloured wooden balls through a sequence of hoops using a long-handled mallet, using cannons to send rivals out of position while routing your own ball around the lawn — croquet rewards strategic thinking and delicate touch in a genteel outdoor game with a famously competitive underbelly.
