Command fantasy races — from Amazons to Zombies — paired with random special powers, conquering territories to score coins, then abandoning them when they decline to pick fresh conquering races.

The Essentials

Rules

  • Each player controls one fantasy race at a time, chosen from a rotating offer paired with a random special power.
  • On your turn, place your race's pieces onto adjacent unconquered or enemy-held territories using enough figures to outnumber the defenders.
  • Score one coin per territory you control at the end of your turn, plus bonus coins for special region types.
  • When a race can no longer expand profitably, put it into decline instead of playing normally, leaving its figures behind as a weakening presence.
  • The game ends after a set number of rounds based on player count; whoever has the most coins wins.

Tips

  • Pick race and power combos that reward the same terrain type for a stronger start.
  • Go into decline before you're forced to, so you can grab a fresh race while territories are still open.
  • Watch which races are queued up for others to draft, since a rival's declining race can free up land you want.
  • Attack the weakest neighboring territories first to conserve figures for later turns.
