Helicopter Sightseeing

Helicopter Sightseeing

Min number of participants 2
Age 6+ yrs.
Safety support by adult Required
Min duration 30 min.
Cost High
Environment Outdoor

Taking a short helicopter flight over a city, coastline, or natural landmark together for a breathtaking bird's-eye perspective that transforms familiar places into stunning aerial art.

The Essentials

  • Book the seat you want in advance, since middle seats or those away from windows get much less of the view and operators assign seats by booking order.
  • Wear dark, non-reflective clothing for photos, since bright colors and white fabric bounce glare into the cabin windows and ruin shots.
  • Skip heavy meals and alcohol beforehand, since the vibration and altitude changes can trigger motion sickness more easily than in a plane.
  • Keep loose items zipped in pockets or bags, since the downdraft from the rotors can send hats, scarves, and papers flying during boarding and landing.
  • Follow the pilot's weight and balance instructions exactly, since where passengers sit affects the helicopter's balance far more than in a fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Ask about the flight path before boarding, since routes vary by operator and some cover landmarks others skip entirely.
