Place lettered tiles on a crossword-style board to form words, scoring points by landing on premium squares and extending existing words — Scrabble rewards vocabulary, spatial reasoning, and careful tile management across a leisurely game that can last an hour or more.

The Essentials

How to play

  1. Each player draws 7 letter tiles from the bag, keeping them hidden on a rack.
  2. The first player forms a word across the center square using two or more tiles from their rack.
  3. On later turns, add one or more tiles to build a new word that connects to tiles already on the board, either extending a word or crossing existing ones.
  4. Score each turn by adding up the point values printed on your tiles, plus any bonus squares (double/triple letter or word) your new tiles land on.
  5. After playing, draw back up to 7 tiles from the bag; if you can't form a word, you may pass or exchange tiles for a turn.
  6. The game ends when the tile bag is empty and one player uses all their tiles, or when no one can play — the player with the highest score wins.
