Fruit Popsicle Making

Fruit Popsicle Making

Min number of participants 1
Age 3+ yrs.
Safety support by adult Recommended
Min duration 20 min.
Cost None (Free)
Environment Indoor

Fill ice lolly moulds with blended fruit, juice, or yogurt and freeze overnight — homemade popsicles involve children in the kitchen and produce a healthy summer treat they are proud to have made.

The Essentials

  • Blend fruit with a little liquid rather than pureeing it too thin for better texture
  • Layer different fruit purees and let each layer freeze before adding the next for stripes
  • Insert sticks once the mixture is partially frozen so they stand upright without floating
  • Leave a little room at the top of molds since liquid expands as it freezes
  • Run molds under warm water briefly to release popsicles cleanly without breaking them
