The Essentials

How to play

Seven different four-block shapes (tetrominoes) fall one at a time from the top of a tall, narrow grid.
Rotate and slide each piece as it falls to fit it against the pieces already stacked below.
When you completely fill a horizontal line with blocks, that line clears and everything above drops down.
The game speeds up over time — the longer you survive, the faster pieces fall.
The game ends when the stack of blocks reaches the top of the grid.

Tips

Keep the stack as flat and even as possible; avoid leaving deep, narrow gaps you can only fill with a straight I-piece.
Clearing four lines at once with an I-piece (a "Tetris") scores far more than clearing one line at a time.
Plan a move or two ahead using the "next piece" preview instead of reacting to only the piece currently falling.
Turn it into a family or friends tournament: everyone plays the same game mode and takes turns, then compares scores or lines cleared to crown a winner — great for game nights, road trips, or waiting-room boredom.
