A grid-division puzzle where you split the whole grid into regions (polyominoes) so that every cell's number equals the size of the region it belongs to — and no two same-sized regions touch edge-to-edge.

The Essentials

Steps

  1. Start with 1s — each forms its own isolated single-cell region on its own.
  2. Look at large numbers with few empty neighbors — there's often only one way to shape that region.
  3. When two same-sized regions would end up adjacent, block the connection by routing the boundary differently.
  4. Keep extending partial regions cell by cell until every number's region reaches exactly that size.

Tips

  • Circle or shade numbers you're confident belong to the same region as you go, to avoid re-checking them.
  • When stuck, look for the number that appears the fewest times on the grid — it usually pins down its region fastest.
